Overview

Return air grilles take air from the room back to the system. Fixed horizontal blades, angled at the front behind a 32 mm border, hide the duct behind them while giving about 50% free area.

They are wall mounted, fitted directly into the duct or on a subframe into builders' work, with or without an opposed-blade damper. Standard sizes run from 100 to 1,200 mm long and 100 to 600 mm high, with larger grilles supplied in sections.

They are made in extruded aluminium, finished in white RAL 9010 powder coat or natural anodized to suit the interior.

Disc Valves (EDV)

Round exhaust valves for washrooms and bathrooms

Where a room needs a small, exact exhaust — washrooms and bathrooms above all — a disc valve does the job a grille would do less neatly. It mounts on the ceiling or wall, and a lockable central cone is turned to set the pressure and so the air volume; it can also serve supply.

The valves are sheet steel in white RAL 9010 powder coat, from Ø 80 to 250 mm, with the airflow set by K-factor and sound data published per size.

Certifications & standards

What each mark on this product means, who issues it and how it applies here.

All certifications & standards
  • ISO 9001

    Quality Management Systems

Issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

    What it is
The international standard for quality management systems. A certified company works to documented processes, checks its output against them, records what it finds and corrects the cause of any fault, and is audited on all of it by an independent certification body.
    On this product
Designed, fabricated and inspected under our certified ISO 9001 quality system: the same documented process for every unit, whichever of our factories builds it.

Frequently asked

For anything these answers do not cover, speak to one of our engineers directly.

How is a return grille sized?

Set the air volume for the room and the number of grilles, choose a face velocity suited to the space, find the effective area from volume and velocity, then pick the size from the effective area table.

Can the return be balanced at the grille?

Yes. An opposed-blade damper can be fitted behind the blades.

What do you use for washroom exhaust?

Our EDV disc valves: round sheet steel valves from Ø 80 to 250 mm with a lockable central cone that sets the exhaust volume.
