Overview

Architecturally seamless: linear slot diffusers run as continuous lines in the ceiling, so the air outlet reads as part of the design. Alignment pins at the back of the face keep the joints between sections true, end caps close a run at either end, and 90° corner pieces turn it, so the line can follow the edge of the room.

In supply, an integral air straightener and a hit-and-miss damper, adjustable from the face down to 25%, set the flow, and deflection blades send the air horizontally to the left or right along the ceiling, or vertically into the room, for constant or variable air volume. Return versions carry the damper without blades, and blank sections continue the line where no air is needed.

They suit rooms of about 2.6 to 4.0 m, with a supply temperature differential up to 10 K. Slots are 3/4" or 1", 1 to 6 per diffuser, in single sections up to 3,500 mm long. The optional plenum box is 0.7 mm galvanized steel on hanging brackets, with a Ø 150 – 400 mm spigot and a height of 300 – 500 mm; it comes fixed to the diffuser or is installed first with the diffuser fitted as a second fix, and can be acoustically lined.

Can slot diffusers run the full length of a room?

Yes. Sections join into continuous runs with alignment pins, and blank sections carry the line where no air is supplied.

How long can a single slot diffuser be?

Up to 3,500 mm in one section. Longer lines are built from several sections joined with alignment pins, and 90° corner pieces carry a line round a corner.

Can the throw be changed on site?

Yes. The deflection blades set horizontal or vertical discharge, and the damper adjusts the flow from the face, independently of each other.

Do they work with VAV systems?

Yes. The slot diffuser gives a stable discharge at constant or variable air volume.
