Overview

Large, tall spaces need air thrown a long way rather than spread at the ceiling. Jet nozzles are used where supply air has to travel a long distance to the occupied zone and ceiling diffusers are not possible or practical: airport terminals, hotel receptions, shopping arcades, museums, sports centres, department stores and atriums. They are mounted in the side walls or on exposed ductwork, singly or in banks.

A cold jet drops and a warm jet rises, so the nozzle is made to be aimed: it adjusts from 30° upward to 30° downward, and the face plate rotates through 360°. Each is a spun nozzle in a square face plate with an angle-flanged border, supplied undrilled for fixing to the duct or plenum.

There are four sizes, 200 to 350, in assemblies of one to four elements, handling 95 to 3,780 l/s with throws from 8 m to about 55 m to a terminal velocity of 0.25 m/s. A rear plenum box, with or without an opposed-blade damper and external locking lever, is available.

Certifications & standards

What each mark on this product means, who issues it and how it applies here.

All certifications & standards
  • ISO 9001

    Quality Management Systems

Issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

    What it is
The international standard for quality management systems. A certified company works to documented processes, checks its output against them, records what it finds and corrects the cause of any fault, and is audited on all of it by an independent certification body.
    On this product
Designed, fabricated and inspected under our certified ISO 9001 quality system: the same documented process for every unit, whichever of our factories builds it.

Frequently asked

For anything these answers do not cover, speak to one of our engineers directly.

How far can a jet nozzle throw?

From about 8 m for the smallest single nozzle to about 55 m for the largest assemblies, measured to a terminal velocity of 0.25 m/s with supply air 10 K below room temperature.

Can the same nozzles heat and cool?

Yes. Cold air drops and warm air rises, so each nozzle adjusts from 30° up to 30° down to hold the jet on target in either mode.

Where are jet nozzles used?

In large, tall spaces where ceiling diffusers cannot reach the occupied zone: airport terminals, atriums, hotel receptions, shopping arcades, museums, sports centres and department stores.
