Overview

A fan coil unit is where a chilled water system meets the room: a fan and a coil in one casing, cooling a single space under its own control. Ours cover 200 to 6,000 CFM and 1 to 15 TR, in exposed and concealed arrangements.

Coils are 3 or 4 rows of high-efficiency copper tube, plain or pre-coated, with aluminium or pre-coated aluminium fins. The fans are selected for low-noise operation at medium static pressure.

Concealed units sit above the ceiling; exposed units stay on show, so their casings are electrostatically painted for a finish that lasts.

Certifications & standards

What each mark on this product means, who issues it and how it applies here.

All certifications & standards
  • ISO 9001

    Quality Management Systems

Issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

    What it is
The international standard for quality management systems. A certified company works to documented processes, checks its output against them, records what it finds and corrects the cause of any fault, and is audited on all of it by an independent certification body.

Designed, fabricated and inspected under our certified ISO 9001 quality system: the same documented process for every unit, whichever of our factories builds it.

Frequently asked

For anything these answers do not cover, speak to one of our engineers directly.

What capacities do your fan coil units cover?

200 to 6,000 CFM of airflow and 1 to 15 TR of cooling, on chilled water, with 3- or 4-row coils.

When should I choose pre-coated coils?

Where the air carries salt or corrosive fumes, as in coastal buildings and some industrial spaces. Tubes and fins are both available pre-coated; plain copper and aluminium suit ordinary interiors.

Exposed or concealed — what is the difference?

A concealed unit sits above the ceiling and serves the room through grilles or a short duct. An exposed unit is mounted in the room itself, so its casing is electrostatically painted for a durable finish on show.
